NPC'S are
-a non player character. What this means is that they are a character not owned by anyone, made for the purpose of roleplay. They can be passing characters or family members, the point is they are non important characters used for the purpose of progressing stories and adding depth.
Difference NPC between OC
-The difference between an OC and NPC is determined by the importance of the character. An NPC should never be plot important or vital to what is going on in multiple threads. Another main difference is the use of NPC's, and OC's is the fact that focus should never be on the NPC, the whole point of roleplay is the interaction between your characters and someone elses characters, not jsut you interacting with npc's you have made and your OC
Rules/characteristics of an NPC
-You do not need an application for an NPC, but you still need to establish the necessary information about them in the thread.
-They can speak, move, and think and should be played like you would play your OC
-It can be played in a whole thread, however it cannot be the main focus on the thread, its meant to be about your OC
-They should be ideally teammates, guides, or brief encounters, they cannot be used as a main character.
-It can be related to your OC (a brother, a teacher, a friend etc...)
-It can be played as an villain, important or not, for the thread. Or be used in flashback
-It cannot have more focus or screen time than your OC in the thread.
-You are free to use npc's for whatever purpose you may have.
-If you decide to turn your NPC into an OC, you must post an application for them.
-You cannot control another person's NPC without permission, this is tantamount to god modding.
-If you make an application of an NPC turned into an OC, and it is rejected, you cannot then use the character as an NPC again.
-If you app an NPC that is in a thread as an OC while the thread is still going, you are allowed to continue the thread but the NPC must never be used again
- If you use an NPC as a side character in 3 threads, or the main character in 1 thread, you must either turn them into an OC, or drop them.
- When you implement a Evil human (someone who's soul has became a Kishin egg) NPC in a RP you must Log them in the Kishin Log some time before or shortly after the RP is concluded
