Ok on this site all RPs fit into 2 categories (Freeform),(GM'ed)
Freeform
every RP'er has equal control of the world around them everybody can bring in NPC's and such so no one person is leading the story
GM'ed (Game master'ed)
In a GM'ed RP one player has control over the world and NPCs that player may also include a OC of his if he wants to everyone els plays the simple roll of the Player characters with their OCs.
the NPC rules applies to both of these ether way if a player brings a NPC into a RP in a Freeform game and another player takes control of that NPC without permission then that is tantamount to god modding.
Another categorization that all RPs must have is [Open] [semi-open]or [privet]

anyone who wants can drop right into the RP without permission great for new players
[semi-open]
in order to join you must first ask permission by PMing the RP creator
[privet]
this is privet to only those who are invited via personal message from the creator
Example of RP title:Hit the ground running (freeform)[Open]
ok so the name of the RP is Hit the ground running and its Open so anyone can join and its free form so it has no set game master got it?
